PlateNote ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the PlateNote mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. PlateNote is designed to work without collecting any personal information from its users.

PlateNote does not collect, store, or process any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Account credentials (no account is required)
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioural data
• Cookies or tracking pixels
• Photos, contacts, or other device data

When you leave a note on a license plate through PlateNote, the following information is stored on our servers:

• The license plate number you searched for
• The country and state/region associated with the plate
• The text content of your note
• A timestamp of when the note was created

This information is entirely anonymous. We do not associate notes with any user identity, device, IP address, or account. There is no way for us or anyone else to trace a note back to the person who wrote it.

Notes are automatically deleted after 7 days and are not retained beyond that period.

PlateNote requests camera access solely for the purpose of scanning PlateNote QR codes. Camera data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. No images or video are captured, stored, or uploaded.

When you generate a QR code for your license plate, the QR code is created on your device. The generated QR code image is not uploaded to or stored on our servers. You may choose to download or share the QR code at your discretion.

PlateNote does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data to share.

Our Service is hosted on third-party infrastructure providers who may process standard server logs (such as IP addresses in access logs). These logs are managed by the infrastructure provider and are not accessed or used by us for any purpose.

PlateNote does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal data, no special provisions for children's data are necessary.

Since PlateNote does not collect personal data, there is minimal risk to your privacy. The anonymous notes stored on our servers are protected using industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure database access controls.

As we do not collect any personal information, there is no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete on your behalf. If you have left a note and wish to have it removed before the automatic 7-day expiration, please contact us using the details below.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
